The degree of illumination is dictated
to a major extent by the illuminance.
This consists of the horizontal,
cylindrical and vertical illuminance.
The correct height and the uniformity
of illuminance also greatly influences
how quickly and safely a task of
vision is registered and carried out.
Where ever precision or an increase
in productivity are of concern, or the
tasks of vision are particularly
demanding, the illuminance should be
increased.The degree of illumination
should promote visual communication,
employees should feel at ease and
receive the adequate motivation.
