Purely direct light provides an economical illumination of large surfaces,
however, thin primarily effects the horizontal surface. In the case of small rooms this can easily lead to a "cave-effect", which on the whole makes
the room seem to be dark . The higher the focussed component of direct light is, the higher (due to the stronger properties of shadows) the plasticity of
objects and surface structures.
