Tried and Tested Safety
The high installation and
application standard of our WILA
luminaires is achieved by means
of standardised test procedures.
Our products offer protection
against electric shocks, fire
caused by luminaires, luminaire
failure, loss of lamps and
luminaires and health risks
caused by lamps and luminaires.
For particular applications, they
also offer protection against
mechanical damage to lamps
and luminaries, as well as
against the ingress of foreign
bodies and moisture.
Photometric Measurements
At WILA, luminous intensity
distribution curves and light
output ratios of luminaires are
calculated using a graduated
circle goniophotometer
developed by the company itself
(patent pending). To measure
narrow-beam or large luminaires,
WILA uses a special luminaire
rotator. All of the photometric
measurements are based on
precisely standardised light
sources which, at WILA, are
placed in an Ulbricht sphere
and constantly monitored.
EMC Measurements
All WILA luminaires carry the
CE symbol and guarantee
electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC). This is guaranteed in
collaboration with testing
institutes in accordance with
standardised measurements.
Climatic Measurements
In order to optimise air-handling
and noise levels, all climatic
luminaires are carefully measured
in a test chamber specially
developed in co-operation
with the Institut für Entsorgung
und Umwelttechnik GmbH
(Institute for Waste Management
and Environmental Technology),
an institute based at the
Märkische Fachhochschule.
The ENEC-VDE Approval Sign
The ENEC symbol is a new
European approval sign for
luminaires. It is based on the
harmonised European standard,
DIN EN 60598 (DIN VDE 0711)
and can currently be awarded by
22 European testing institutes.
In Germany, the VDE testing
and certifying institute (VDE-PZI)
awards the ENEC symbol
combined with the VDE
symbol. Consumers of goods
marked with the ENEC-VDE
approval sign and the F sign
can be certain that
• The luminaires are
state-of-the-art
• The luminaires comply with
all of the requirements of the
European testing institutes
and can be used throughout
the European market
• The luminaires on sale are
monitored
• The fire protection
regulations are observed • The industrial safety and
accident prevention
regulations are adhered to
• The manufacturer has a
quality management system
certified to at least ISO 9002
standard that guarantees
constant quality
• Unannounced plant
inspections are carried out
by the testing institutes twice
a year
• The following standards and
regulations are observed:
F-fire protection regulation in
accordance with the French
glow-wire test up to 960 °C, IP
23 as standard, IP 44 optional
with DIN VDE 0711 safety
screen, temperature-rise test,
as well as electromagnetic
compatibility as per
EN 55015, EN 61547 and
EN 61000-3-2
Conformity Confirmed
Products must be labelled with
the CE symbol in order to be
sold within the European
Community. By providing this
labelling, manufacturers and
importers usually confirm of
their own accord that their
products adhere to the basic
requirements" in special
European directives and to the
safety objectives pursued in
those directives.
Quality Management
WILA has set itself the objective
of meeting market requirements
by means of innovative products
and competent services. This
is based on a high quality claim,
which is firmly anchored in the
quality policy of the corporate
strategy. Certification to DIN
ISO 9001, as awarded by
Det Norske Veritas certifying
bodies, testifies to the fact that
the quality system ensures
that all elements meet the required
quality standard. |
